Weekend Area Police Report

Around 11:15 p.m. Saturday night, the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a female wearing a white shirt and jean shorts laying in a ditch along the side of the road near the intersection of West Railroad and North First Streets in Montgomery.  The caller said the woman was obviously intoxicated and refused help.  Deputies responded to the scene but were unable to locate the female.   Then, around 11:40 p.m. 9–1-1 received a call reporting the female was outside the caller’s camper at the Montgomery Campground.   The female was apprehended and was being transported to the Daviess County Security Center, when just west of Montgomery, the Deputy was forced to stop his patrol car when the female kicked out the vehicle’s A/C vent.

Sunday morning’s report from the Daviess County Security Center shows that 44 yer old Tamara Alford of Montgomery was booked into the Security Center on charges of Public Intoxication, Criminal Mischief, and Battery on a Public Safety Officer.
