Your local Health Department has answered questions regarding the COVID survey data breach.
They say the office has received some inquiries regarding the ISDH COVID-19 online contact tracing survey breach that occurred.
The ISDH is sending letters to those individuals affected by the data breach.
The return address on the letters is from a Claysburg, PA address.
The Daviess County Health Department is assuring you that those letters are real and are not a scam.
The ISDH is currently notifying nearly 750,000 Hoosiers that data from the state’s survey was improperly accessed.
Last week, the state and the company that accessed the data signed a “certificate of destruction” to confirm that the data was not released to any other entity and was destroyed by the company.
If you no longer have the letter or need additional information you can call (866) 342-8024 by November 30, 2021.
