West Boggs Park says the long awaited road improvements at the park will begin today.
Starting today, the Martin County Highway Department will be out chip and sealing the following: Raccoon, Bobcat, Redfox, and the entire south side of the park.
Later this fall, the Daviess County Highway Department will begin working on paving the main entrance to the boat ramp and up around the large campground loop.
Park officials say the work will be during the weekdays so as not to interfere with many campers.
Weekday campers are being contacted during days of work.
The improvements are funded by a Land Water Conservation Grant, as well as funds from both Daviess and Martin Counties.
