Both the City of Washington and Daviess County have reached an agreement on a combined 911 Dispatch Center.
The City of Washington had approved the agreement on their side Monday evening.
The Daviess County Commissioners approved the interlocal agreement Tuesday morning.
Authorities and Officials from both sides showed strong support on the new dispatch center.
The Dispatch Center will have both a financial board and an operations board made up of officials and authorities from both the city and the county.
A transition team has been assembled and will immediately begin the merger.
The goal is to have the center up and running by January of 2022.
