Ralph G. Johnson 93, of Decker Indiana, passed away from this life on Monday, September 13, 2021 in Vincennes. He was born on Sunday, June 17, 1928 in Decker Indiana.
He is survived by his son Mike Johnson wife Barb, daughter Alice Smith husband Gene, daughter Kathy McCreary, daughter Annette Johnson, 9 grandchildren Michael Johnson, Christye Driskill, Ashley Irvin, Allyson Hageman, Matt Johnson, Kelsey Klingerman, Kiaya Cornwell, Hananiah Cornwell, Quintesa Cornwell, 4 great grandchildren Kiah Driskill, Oliver Hageman, Fynn Hageman, Zander Johnson, one on the way Alice Rose Klingerman, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Ruth Ann Peach Johnson, father Ralph C. Johnson, mother Ruth M. Devine, one grandson Andrew Robb, one granddaughter Melanie Robb, and Kathy’s lifetime partner James Spencer.
Ralph attended Decker School and went on to farming and worked at the United Post Office as a Rural Carrier and retired from that. He is a member of the Bunker Hill Baptist Church, he is in the Columbia 450 Masonic Lodge in Patoka Indiana, he is a 32nd Degree in the Scottish Rite, and is a member of the National Rural Letter Carriers Association. Ralph loved to farm driving tractors and working in the outdoors he enjoyed. Fishing, hunting, he also loved when he was younger. Playing cards, playing pool and spending time with his family was the important things he like to do. He will be missed by all!
Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 11:00 am at Johnson Cemetery in Decker Indiana. Officiating will be Pastor Jay Howder. Under the direction of Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home Vincennes, Indiana.
Visitation for friends will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home 524 Broadway Street Vincennes, Indiana.
Pall Bearers will be Mike Johnson, Gene Smith, Michael Johnson, Doug Driskill, Chris Irvin, Tyler Hageman, and Matt Johnson.
