Two people from Indianapolis were arrested in Gibson County last weekend.
Early Saturday morning, a Gibson County Sheriff’s Officer conducted a traffic stop on a Red 2015 Kia SUV for speeding on US 41 near County Road 350 South.
Upon approaching the vehicle, the deputy reported smelling the odor of raw Marijuana.
Following an on-scene investigation, Marijuana was located in the vehicle resulting in the arrest of both the driver and passenger.
The driver, 33-year-old Twylia Scanlon of Indianapolis, was placed in custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail.
She was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with Refusal and Possession of Marijuana. She has since posted a $650 bond.
The passenger, 30-year-old Marcus Sherman – also of Indianapolis, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from another county.
