The Barr-Reeve tennis team won the Vincennes Lincoln Invitational earning enough points needed to win against Vincennes Lincoln, Tecumseh, and Wood Memorial on Saturday.
The North Daviess Cougars Tennis team dropped a tough one to undefeated Loogootee on Friday, before bouncing back with a 5 to nothing shut out win over Sullivan.  North Daviess takes on South Knox tonight.
Washington boys tennis claimed a pair of conference wins in the PAC with victories over Mount Vernon and South Spencer on Saturday.
The Washington Lady Hatchets will host Barr Reeve tonight in girls Volleyball at the Hatchet House.  Catch live coverage starting at 7:15pm on Memories 107.9fm.
In honor of homecoming this week, the Washington Football Booster Club will be hosting a bonfire and pep rally at Hatchet Hollow Thursday night at 7:30pm.  The event is open to the public.

The Indianapolis Colts fell to 0-2 with a 27-24 loss to the Los Angeles Rams Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium. Colts quarterback Carson Wentz injured his right ankle in the fourth quarter and did not return. The Rams took the lead on a 38-yard field goal with 2:23 to play and two plays later, Colts backup Jacob Eason threw an interception to Rams All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey to secure the L.A. victory.
Colton Herta led 91 of 95 laps to win from the pole in dominant fashion in the NTT IndyCar Series. The Andretti Autosport star made contact with his teammate Alexander Rossi on the second lap, which caused Rossi to spin off course, but Herta was able to continue on. Championship leader Alex Palou finished second to take a commanding 35-point lead over Pato O’Ward into the season’s final race next weekend on the streets of Long Beach.

The St. Louis Cardinals scored five runs in the first inning and held on for an 8-7 victory over the San Diego Padres Sunday at Busch Stadium. Fernando Tatis Jr. dropped a bases-loaded popup which allowed the Cards to plate five in the first. The Cardinals have won eight straight, and now lead the Reds and Phillies by three games for the second wild card berth in the National League. The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated Cincinnati 8-5. Clayton Kershaw picked up his first win since June 27th as L.A. handed the Reds their eighth straight series loss. Patrick Wisdom hit a three-run homer as part of a five-run eighth inning, and the Chicago Cubs came back to beat the division-leading Milwaukee Brewers 6-4. Wisdom’s 27th home run of the season set a Cubs rookie record.
