On August 22, 1953, she married the love of her life, Edward G. Tetreault, in Unionville, Connecticut. At the time of Edward’s passing in 2010, Ruth and Edward had shared their lives and made their home together fifty-seven years.
Ruth was a 1952 graduate of Farmington High School in Farmington, Connecticut. She retired from Walt’s Drive-A-Way in Evansville in 1996. Ruth was a lifetime member of the Beta Sigma Phi, and a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Washington.
Ruth loved to play bingo and crochet. She was an avid Cubs baseball fan. In her son Tater’s younger years she enjoyed watching him play sports, and then in later years, she enjoyed watching great-grandson Carson play sports. She was a member of the Birthday Club and always looked forward to going out to eat with her friends.
Those who are left to cherish Ruth’s memory include: her son and daughter-in-law, Brian “Tater” and Wanita Tetreault; granddaughter, Erica Christie; great-grandson, Carson Clark; and her special friend, Bob Barron, all of Washington. She also leaves a brother, William Wixon of Kensington, Connecticut.
During her lifetime, Ruth mourned the loss of her parents, Charles J. and Helen L. Cadoret; and her husband, Edward G. Tetreault. Ruth also mourned the loss of her beloved companion of fifteen years, her dog, Patches, just two months ago.
Visitation for Ruth Tetreault will be Friday, September 24, 2021, 11:00 am-1:00 pm at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1002 NE 6th Street, Washington, Indiana.
