Man arrested for Auto Theft in Vincennes

A Lake Station man has been arrested in Knox County on several charges.
Around 11:40 pm Thursday night, Knox County Authorities received information about a stolen truck and trailer carrying two lawn mowers. They were reported stolen out of Owensboro, Kentucky and Knox County Police got a tip the truck was traveling north on US 41.
Police located the truck and trailer and attempted to stop the driver, but the driver continued down the road until crashing on US 41 near Willow Street. He then fled on foot and was later found and apprehended by police with the assistance of a K-9 unit.
The driver was identified as 31-year-old Bobby Ray Miller, of Lake Station, Indiana. Miller was arrested without further incident and taken to Good Samaritan Hospital where further investigation revealed he was under the influence of cocaine.
Miller is now being held on bond in the Knox County Jail.
He is charged with Auto Theft, Two Counts of Resisting Law Enforcement, Driving While Suspended, and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.
