Rickie Sue Bechtel, 76 of Washington, went to her heavenly home on September 30, 2021.
Rickie Sue was born on November 7, 1944 in Glasgow, KY to the late Charles Brake and Velma Scott Brake.
She was a member of Odon Christian Church and retired from NSWC Crane as an explosives handler. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed; cooking, bird watching, and gardening. Rickie Sue was a kind soul who never met a stranger and she will be missed by many.
She is survived by; her loving husband, Jerry Bechtel; children, Paula Evans (Dave) of Linton, Summer Holzmeyer (Mike) of Eastern Greene, Joseph Montalone (Betsy) of Westfield, and Steven Shafer (Cindy) of Odon; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 6 stepchildren; Robin DeRossett(Michael), and Kim Gries; sisters, Barbara Spears, Deborah Copass, Sarah Strykowski, and Tina Johnson; brothers, Ronnie Brake, and Junior Brake; and many nieces and nephews.
Rickie Sue was preceded in death by; her parents; a sister, Sylvia Hann; and a brother, Marcus Brake.
There will be visitation on Monday, October 4, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Gill Funeral Home, 308 E. Walnut St. Washington, IN 47501. with a service immediately following at 1:00 P.M. also at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Sugarland Memory Garden’s mausoleum.
