The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission has approved a natural gas rate increase for CenterPonit Energy. The approved increase will provide CenterPoint with about $20 million in increased revenue, but is about 30% under what the company had requested. The increase is the first rate hike for the company in seven years. The last raise in rates came when CenterPoint was known as Vectren. The increase will be made in two phases.
