Gerald Reilly

Gerald “Gerry” Reilly, 77, passed away October 13, 2021. Gerry was born September 17, 1944, in San Antonio, Texas, to James Homer and Mary Agnes (Shay) Reilly. On September 28, 1968, he married Retha Diane (Slaughter) Reilly, and she survives.
Gerry served his county honorably as a United States Marine, and later, he retired from the United States Navy. He was a master electrician. A devout Catholic, Gerry was a man of God and a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Montgomery.
Those who mourn Gerry’s passing include: his wife, Retha Diane Reilly of Mongtomery; his children, Christie (John) Zito of Birmingham, Alabama; Dawn (Stacy) McBrian of Navarre, Florida; Shane (Debbie) Reilly of San Diego, California; Clint (Jami) Reilly
of Omaha, Nebraska; Jana (Brad) Traylor of Montgomery; and Kelly (Trent) Graber, also of Montgomery. Additionally, there are nineteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Coming from a large family, Gerry leaves his two sisters, Judy Nixon, and Kay Tuttle; four brothers, Tom Reilly, John Reilly, Mike Reilly, and Dennis Reilly, all living in Texas.
During his lifetime, Gerry mourned the loss of his parents, James and Mary Agnes Reilly; and three brothers, Pat Reilly; Bill Reilly; and Tim Reilly.
A Memorial Mass is planned for Monday, October 18, 2021, at 11:00 am, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Montgomery. Father Sudhakar Bhastati will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Peter Cemetery.
