The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced two culvert pipe replacements in Martin County.
Beginning on or around this Tuesday, October 19th, INDOT maintenance crews will close U.S. 50 east of Loogootee between Rama Dye Road and Lily Pond Road to replace a drainage culvert crossing all lanes of traffic. Work on this project is expected to last for about a day depending on weather conditions.
The second project will be done on State Road 550 near Shoals and will begin on or around this coming Wednesday, October 20th. INDOT maintenance crews will close S.R. 550 near Shoals between Abel Hill Road and Boyd Hollow Road to replace a drainage culvert crossing all lanes of traffic. Work is expected to last for about a day depending on weather conditions.
Both operations will begin after morning peak traffic times and the roads are expected to re-open before the afternoon peak traffic times on their respective days. Roads will be closed to all traffic during work hours. INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
