The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents of yet another scam.
The department says they have taken multiple complaints of individuals receiving calls or text messages in reference to their German American Bank card.
The text messages say a bank card is blocked and then requests that you call a phone number listed in the text to settle the issue.
The Sheriff’s Office says they have been in contact with German American Bank and can confirm this is a scam.
The number provided with the text message should not be called.
The department says they will provide more information as it becomes available.
