As many already know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.
The month serves to not only bring awareness to breast cancer itself, but is also meant to encourage women to get their screenings.
According to nationalbreastcancer.org, breast cancer death rates have declined 40% since 1989.
Most of that progress is attributed to improvements in early detection.
Cancer Patient Navigator at Daviess Community Hospital and breast cancer survivor Sharon Meade says regular screenings are very important…
Daviess Community Hospital offers 3D mammography which can help detect Breast Cancer early if screened regularly.
Daviess Community Hospital also has a grant available for those with little or no health insurance to help women get those screenings…
