The Vincennes Police Department will be honoring the life of one of their K-9’s today.
K-9 Gary died on October 13th from unforeseen medical issues.
A funeral procession to escort the K9 will begin at the Vincennes Veterinary Clinic at 1:00 pm today.
The procession will travel south on sixth street and end at Fredrick and Sons Funeral Home on Church Street.
The Vincennes Police Department says they are taking donations to fill K9 Gary’s position.
The K9 unit is funded solely by donations and is not part of the city’s budget.
Checks should be made out to the Vincennes Police Department and can be dropped off or mailed to 501 Busseron Street in Vincennes.
