Martha Hamilton, 66, of Bloomington, formerly of Loogootee, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021 at McCormick’s Creek Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
She was born July 12, 1955 in Loogootee, Indiana to the late Victor and Anna Jean (Tewell) Mathias.
Martha enjoyed collecting Boyds Bears and Longaberger baskets. She was previously employed by GE for 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Anna Jean Mathias and sister, Patricia Mathias.
Martha is survived by her husband, Alex Hamilton of Bloomington; daughters, Erin McGhee (Jeff Eads) of Carmel, Angie Gentry (Derek Jarrard) of Bloomington and Andrea Hamilton (Jeremy Martin) of Bloomington; grandchildren, Haley, Spencer, Shaun, Brenden, Tyler, Krista and Lisa McGhee, Caelan Hamilton and Kira Curran; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Rick (Lisa) Mathias of Loogootee; nieces and nephew, Vickie Mathias, Cassie Mathias and Tanner Mathias.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loogootee, officiated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker. Burial will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery.
