A former police officer in Oakland City has been charged with attempted murder.
According to Evansville’s 14 News, 31-year-old Donald Carlisle, is accused of shooting at another man Saturday night.
Court documents show Carlisle left a party Saturday night following a fight with another man.
The fight happened on East Easy Street near Oakland City.
Carlisle was then called back to the party and on his way back, saw the man again getting into his vehicle.
Witnesses they heard Carlisle threatening the other man before he began firing shots as the man drove away.
The man was hit by debris, but no serious injuries were reported.
Carlisle was arrested later that night and is currently being held in the Gibson County Jail.
