A woman from the Dale area has been arrested for battery on a child.
Indiana State Police initiated a criminal investigation on Monday after receiving information from the Indiana Department of Child Services concerning allegations of battery against a child.
Police say the investigation revealed that 22-year-old Megan L. Weddle of Dale had allegedly battered a child under 14-years-old.
The battery allegedly happened in Spencer County.
A warrant was later issued for Weddle’s arrest, and she was transported to the Spencer County Jail without incident.
She is charged with Neglect of a Dependent Resulting in Bodily Injury and Domestic Battery on a Person Less than 14-years-old.
