A former Clay County teacher is under investigation following a weekend live stream.
Authorities were made aware of a video featuring a sting operation from an Indianapolis based agency on Saturday. The video showed a man buying snacks and a drink at a Terre Haute grocery store for a young girl acting as a decoy.
Upon exciting the store, the man was confronted by adult members of a social media group so he immediately fled the scene.
A letter from the Principal at Cornerstone Christian Academy in Brazil to DLC Media confirmed that a third-grade teacher, identified as Josh Dowdy, had resigned.
DLC Media conducted a live interview with Clay County Sheriff Josh Clarke who then confirmed Dowdy was the man in the video and that he is now under investigation.
Officers say search warrants have been obtained, but no charges have been filed just yet.
It is believed Dowdy turned himself into police over the weekend.
