A Vigo County correctional officer faces charges of child molestation.
Police arrested 51-year-old Kenneth Smithee of Terre Haute, Tuesday morning on three counts of child molesting.
He is accused of abusing a girl under the age of 14.
Sheriff John Plasse says Smithee has been suspended without pay.
Indiana State Police are looking into what happened.
