There has been an increase in COVID cases as Daviess and surrounding counties shift back into Orange Status.
The Daviess County Health Department reports 171 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the county since November 19th.
Of those cases, 138 individuals were unvaccinated with 8 of those being children under the age of 5. The other 33 individuals were fully vaccinated.
One additional death has also been reported since November 19th bringing the death toll to 117.
Daviess County has shifted back into the Orange and is showing a 7-day positivity rate of 10.7% on the state’s COVID map.
Martin, Dubois, Pike, and Gibson Counties are also in Orange Status.
Knox and Greene Counties are in Yellow Status.
