House Republicans Pushing to End Emergency Order

indiana-3

Republicans at the Indiana House of Representatives have introduced new legislation that would end Governor Holcomb’s COVID-19 emergency order.
Holcomb says he’s willing to end the order if certain conditions are met, including strong federal food assistance and Medicaid benefits, plus vaccinations for children between ages 5 and 11.
Democrat State Representative Robin Shackleford says it’s not time to end the order, especially with an increase in deaths and a new variant.
She tells WISH-TV she expects both back and forth battles over COVID as the legislative session approaches.
