The Daviess County Council met for their regular session on Wednesday.
Tracy Cook with the Powerhouse was present with a request of $225,000 to go towards a $1.3 million building project.
Cook stated the building project will eliminate current problems, such as narrow spaces, explaining it would be more open and require less staff to operate.
The Commissioners had approved the request at their last meeting and final approval was brought before the Daviess County Council yesterday.
The Council agreed to table the request for the time being so they could review sources for funding.
Meanwhile, the City of Washington recently pledged to contribute an undisclosed amount to the project according to Cook.
The Powerhouse has thus far been able to raise around $480,000.
