Judith Kay Wheatley 81, of Montpelier, IN passed away peacefully on Thursday December 16, 2021 at IU Health in Hartford City, In.
Judy was born in Petersburg, IN on January 23, 1940 to the late Edward Imel Huffmon and Sarah Sadie Frentress Harker.
She was a member of the Free Methodist Church for many years, she enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking, and was a faithful Wife and Homemaker for 59 years to Arthur, and she enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved the Lord and reading the Bible. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by: Children, Galion Edward Leighty (Donna) of Petersburg, Joyce Rudolph of Vincennes, Sandra Stoll of Montpelier,
Roger Wheatley (Carolyn) of Montpelier, and a half sister Sharon Huffman, 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: Husband Arthur Leroy Wheatley (passed 3 days after her), 4 brothers Arthur Huffmon, Lowell Huffmon, Roscoe Huffmon, Robert Huffmon,and a sister Thelma Lee Melvin.
Funeral services will be at Noon on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN, with burial to follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00am until service time.
