The Martin County Sheriff’s Department is currently accepting applications for full-time and part time jail officers, full time and part time dispatchers, and part time cooks.
The department is offering a $1,000 hiring bonus after completing conditions.
They say all positions start part-time with the potential of moving to full-time.
The Sheriff’s Office offers paid training; however, applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18 years of age, a citizen of the United States, and not have any felony or misdemeanor convictions.
Applicants must also be willing to submit to a drug screening and have the ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and some holidays.
To be considered for an open position, candidates are encouraged to pick-up an application at the Martin County Sheriff’s Office located at 318 Capital Avenue in Shoals.
