Arby L. Huff, 83, of Odon, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at his residence. He was born on June 22, 1938 in Plainville, Indiana to Claude M. and Gladys (Dunn) Huff. Arby married the love of his life, Shirley J. (Hopkins) Huff on July 12, 1959.
Arby was a member of the Prairie Creek Coon Hunters Club in Epsom. He was a mechanic at Hoeflings for 30 years and he raised chickens and sold the eggs. Arby enjoyed dressing up as Santa Claus for many years. He loved family get-togethers.
Family left to cherish the memory of Arby include: three sons, Steve (Marcy) Huff of Linton, Randy (Terry) Huff and James (Beth) Huff, both of Odon; two daughters, Cathy (Mike) Troutman and Lynn (Terry) McCrary, both of Shoals; eleven grandchildren, Melissa Taylor, Josh Huff, Justin (Rene’) Huff, Joe (Tina) Troutman, Lisa (Danny) Baker, Seth and Logan McCrary, Morgan Wininger, Macy (Michael) Wilson, Garrett and Blake Huff; thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Donna Dawson of Washington and Nancy Huff of Vincennes.
Arby was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Shirley Huff; sister, Claudia Holloway and grandson, Jordan Wininger.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Pastor Marty Evans and Rev. Steve Huff officiating. Arby will be laid to rest in Springhill Cemetery in Shoals.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 29 and from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Thursday at the funeral home.
