A Jasper man was jailed following a traffic stop early yesterday morning.
Around 1:00 am Monday, an officer with the Jasper Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a 2007 Chevy Impala for failing to stop at a stop sign.
During the traffic stop, officers determined that the driver was impaired.
Police say after conducting field testing and a chemical test, it was determined that the driver was under the influence of narcotics.
The driver, identified as 40-year-old Ryan K. Long of Jasper, was taken to the Dubois County Jail, and charged with Operating While Intoxicated and Operating While Intoxicated with Endangerment.
