The Indiana National Guard has left Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
The troops have been at the hospital since September, working to give nurses and other workers there a break.
Commanders say there are no plans to return unless Deaconess officials ‘really need them.’
The troops spent their time doing things like cleaning and serving meals.
Deaconess officials say the troops helped manage a surge in patients.
