Mary Magdalene Harper, 86, of Winslow, passed away January 1, 2022 in Oakland City, IN. She was born September 13, 1935 in Petersburg, IN to John and Myrtle (Selby) Query. Mary was a graduate of Petersburg High School Class of 1954. She loved painting pictures and belonged to a bowling league in Oakland City.
Mary is survived by her son, David (Renee) Harper; grandson, Joshua Lewis Harper; grandchildren, Kelsey Marie Harper, Aaron Harper, and Trevor Harper; sister, Carolyn Sue Houchins; niece, Alice Bryman; nephew, Rick Kinman; and sister-in-law, Betty Kinman.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Harper; son, Roger Harper; her parents; brothers, Ed Query and Russell ‘Buck’ Query; and sisters, Eva Cockerham and Edna Smith.
Services for Mary will take place at 1 PM EST on Monday, January 10, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN with visitation from 11 AM until service time. Pastor Jim Williams will be officiating and burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
