Huntingburg Man Arrested on Drug Charges After Crash

A Huntingburg man faces several charges after causing an accident in Dubois County.
On Wednesday just before 5:00 pm, the Jasper Police Department was dispatched to the area of 34th Street and Newton Street.
The call was in reference to a two-vehicle accident.
Upon investigation, the driver of the vehicle causing the accident, identified as 32-year-old Nathan Rauscher, was found to be under the influence of Methamphetamine.
Upon a search of the vehicle, a small amount of methamphetamine was located, along with paraphernalia and a prescription bottle of pills not belonging to Rauscher, according to police.
He was transported to Memorial Hospital for a blood draw and then booked into the Dubois County Jail.
He is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession or Use of a Legend Drug or Precursor, Operating While Intoxicated with Endangerment, Operating a Vehicle with Specified Amount of Alcohol or Controlled Substance, and Possession of Paraphernalia.
