A Vincennes man was arrested early Saturday morning in Gibson County for speeding and impersonating an officer.
On Saturday, around 1:00 am, Indiana State Police was patrolling US 41 near SR 64 when an officer clocked a 2005 Chevrolet going 93-mph in the 60-mph zone.
A traffic stop was then conducted at US 41 at CR 100 North.
The driver was identified as 31-year-old Justin McGiffen of Vincennes.
During the stop, officers say McGiffen displayed signs of impairment.
After failing field sobriety tests, police say McGiffin pulled out his wallet and displayed a gold badge.
Further investigation revealed he had a BAC of .07%.
McGiffen was arrested and booked into the Gibson County Jail.
He is charged with Impersonating a Public Servant, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, and Reckless Driving.
