Sony DADC is laying off hundreds of Hoosiers in Terre Haute and plans to move it’s operation to make compact discs overseas.
Sony says they will be moving the operation to Austria, which means 100 workers in Indiana will be out of a job.
The plant first opened in the 1980’s.
Sony is not closing the plant.
The company plans to retain about 150 workers at the Terre Haute plant, which will become an assembly and distribution facility for Sony.
