Pike County Schools will continue with eLearning for the remainder of the week.
Pike County School Corporation officials said earlier this week that decision was made because several faculty members are sick and in quarantine.
The School Corporation noted that they had reviewed all options carefully and concluded they would not be able to provide services, safe transportation, or a fully supervised education if students were to return to the classroom.
Officials say the extra eLearning days, in addition to the weekend, will allow all cases to be resolved.
In-person classes are set to resume on Monday, January 24.
