A St. Louis motorcycle gang was busted for a nationwide string of burglaries thanks to work done by cybercrime experts in Vanderburgh County.
Six men were arrested for trying to steal from a motorcycle dealership in May of 2021.
Their phones were seized as evidence and given to the county’s Cyber Crimes Task Force.
They were able to crack through each phone’s passcodes in a matter of days and discovered the men were linked to several other similar burglaries in other states.
The Task Force was given an award for their work by the Indianapolis Field Office of the Secret Service on Tuesday.
