David A. Bowling, 77, passed away at 2:16 pm on February 1, 2022 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. Dave was born on August 8, 1944 in Washington, IN and he was the son of Gervase “Bill” and Rita (Mangin) Bowling. Dave married Ann Wimmenauer on June 6, 1964.
Dave was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and retired from P.A. Kennedy as a route salesman. He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus where he assisted with their Treasure Hunt. Dave enjoyed fishing, rabbit hunting, gardening and playing cards at the K of C. Most importantly though, Dave enjoyed spending time with his family and watching Hatchet basketball.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Bowling of Washington; his children, Becky Price and her husband Dan of Washington, Rachel Wildman and her husband Jay of Washington, Matt Bowling and his significant other, Candy Bush of Washington; his brother, Danny Bowling and his wife Kathy of Vincennes; grandchildren, Cory Price and his wife Missy, Kyle Price and his wife Chelsea, Baylee Wildman, Madison Wildman; great grandchildren, Olivia Price, Adam and Easton Green, Miles Price, Mack Price, and one on the way. Dave is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Rita Bowling and his brothers, Donnie and Dennis “Pat” Bowling.
Friends may visit with Dave’s family from 9:30 until 10:30 am on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 315 NE 3rd St., Washington, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation and begin at 10:30 am with Rev. Paul Ferguson and Yvonne Evans celebrating. The Bowling family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Knights of Columbus 630, 319 E. Main St., Washington, IN 47501.
