Jacqueline Sue Dalton passed away on Feb 1, 2022, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born April 16, 1952, in Rensselaer, IN, to Frank and Violet (Jones) Neal. Jacque later married Paul Dalton on July 10, 1970.
Jacque (or Grammy, as she was most fondly remembered), was her grandchildren’s biggest fan at sporting events and anything they were involved in. She enjoyed hosting summer pool parties with family and friends at the Dalton Cement Pond. She delighted in sleepovers with her grandkids, Black Friday shopping with her girls and spoiling the kids with way too many Christmas presents. She enjoyed tending her flowers, reading and made the best persimmon pudding. She attended Bethel United Methodist Church and enjoyed the Sunday Night Bible Study there.
She is survived by her husband, Paul, of Washington, IN; their three children, all of Washington, IN; a son, Shannon (Kerri) Dalton; daughter, Angela (Eric) Bass; and daughter, Amber (Gary Allison) Traylor. The light of her life, her six grandchildren; Faith Dalton, Jacob Traylor, Madelyn Dalton, Ryley Traylor, Connor Bass and Kendall Bass; Half-Sister, Avis (Harry) Ramsey of Bedford, IN: and her nieces and nephews, and Jacque’s “partner in crime” and closest friend, Barbara (Richard) Sapp. Jacque was preceded in death by both of her parents, Frank (1978) and Violet (2010); brothers, all of Bedford, IN, Robert Frank (Rock) Neal, Ralph D. Neal, and half-brother, William Neal; Nieces, Sandy (Neal) McFarlan, Bedford, IN, and Jeanne Neal, Indianapolis, IN.
Friends may visit with Jacque’s family from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Bethel United Methodist Church North Campus, 919 North SR 57, Washington, IN and from 9 am until the hour of service time of 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at the church. Pastor Roy Ice and Pastor Valarie Foughty -Killon will officiate, and Jacque will be laid to rest in Bethel Cemetery. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, Washington, IN is privileged and honored to be entrusted with the care of Jacque.
