Police officers conducted more than 7,000 traffic stops across Indiana between Thanksgiving and New Year’s.
The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI) says nearly one third of those citations and warnings were for people driving too fast.
79 were from people driving under the influence of alcohol.
The ICJI says nearly 30 more people were killed last month compared to January of 2019 due to reckless driving.
