Area Still Under Unsafe Travel Conditions

The snow is gone but there are still over two dozen counties under a travel warning throughout Indiana.
Central Indiana got around six-to-seven inches of snow and those amounts increase as you head north. In the last 24 hours, State Police troopers in Indianapolis say they’ve responded to over 150 people stopped on roads with disabled vehicles and over 50 crashes with injury.
Here in southern Indiana, ice is still covering many roads, power lines, and tree limbs making travel very hazardous. Over the past 48 hours, area officers have dealt with multiple property damage accidents and slide-offs.
Daviess County is still under a Level 2 Watch Status. Level 2 WATCH Status means only essential travel, such as to and from work or an emergency.
The area is currently under a Winter Weather Advisory.
