The Vincennes Police Department had a busy Wednesday.
The department says officers netted two high felony arrests and seized several grams of meth. Police first arrested 37-year-old Tyler Seals in the 2800 block of Washington Avenue. He was arrested on two outstanding warrants and additionally charged with Dealing in Methamphetamine and Possession of a Syringe after police located about 45 grams of suspected methamphetamine as well as several hypodermic syringes in his apartment.
Later that evening, officers attempted a traffic stop on a black Dodge Durango after officers observed the driver to be 33-year-old Ron Charlton. Charlton was wanted for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon. Officers pursued the vehicle, but officers say Charlton refused to pull over.
The chase ended after officers deployed stop sticks and the vehicle left the roadway coming to a stop in field on Old 50.
During the investigation, officers located over 30 grams of suspected methamphetamine and a small amount of marijuana.
Charlton and another passenger, identified as 22-year-old Allyson Catt, were placed under arrest, and one passenger was released from the scene.
Charlton faces over half a dozen charges in addition to his outstanding warrant.
Catt is also facing several charges.
