Purdue will look to make it seven wins in a row Thursday night when the third-ranked Boilermakers face Michigan in Ann Arbor. The game was originally scheduled for last month, but was rescheduled due to COVID-19 issues within the Wolverines program at the time. Both teams are coming off wins late Tuesday night. Michigan held on to defeat Penn State on the road, while Purdue beat 13th-ranked Illinois at home to move into a tie atop the Big Ten standings. The Boilers beat Michigan 82-76 at home Saturday behind 23 points, seven assists and six rebounds from Jaden Ivey. The sophomore guard and future NBA lottery pick has been playing the best basketball of his young career lately. In the last four games, Ivey is averaging nearly 23 points per game. Purdue is 21-3, with a 10-3 Big Ten mark, while Michigan is 12-9 overall and 6-5 in conference play. The Boilers are favored by three points, with tip off at 9 p.m. Eastern on ESPN.

Paul Atkinson Jr. had 17 points and a career-best 15 rebounds, as the Fighting Irish improved to 17-7 overall and 10-3 in the ACC, one half game up of both Duke and Wake Forest. Dane Goodwin added 16 points, and Blake Wesley scored 11. Notre Dame led by 12 at halftime, but the Cardinals stormed back to take a one-point lead with over six minutes to go. The Irish responded with an 8-0 run and held Louisville to just two points over the final five minutes. Mike Brey’s team has won seven out of eight. Notre Dame was without Nate Laszewski (La-SHEV-ski) due to an ankle injury. Louisville has lost six straight to fall to 11-13. The Fighting Irish will look to keep it going at Clemson Saturday.
