A late-night police chase in Gibson County ended with the arrests of three people.
Indiana State Police say a state trooper stopped a 2018 Dodge Journey in Oakland City around 11:00 pm Saturday night.
Police say the driver sped away as the trooper approached the car.
The chase didn’t last long, but it did reach speeds of more than 90 miles per hour.
The driver was identified as 19-year-old Logan Wiscaver. 26-year-old William Smith was riding in the passenger seat, with 29-year-old Hayley Williams riding in the back. A one-year-old child was also found in the back seat.
Police found a small wooden box underneath one of the seats, which contained marijuana and meth. Police also found a syringe and a few empty plastic baggies.
The child was taken by the Indiana Department of Child Services.
All three of the adults face multiple felony drug charges and criminal recklessness charges.
