A former Vincennes man has been sentenced to 50 years behind bars.
61-year-old Lloyd Timothy Lee Elder Sr. was sentenced to 50 years in prison after being found guilty of three counts of Child Molesting on Tuesday.
The case began back in 2016 and involved several children, now adults, that had allegedly been molested by the same perpetrator over several years.
Knox County Prosecutor Dirk Carnahan said that Vincennes Police Department Detective Doug Lowe did a very good job putting this case together.
He also said survivors of terrible crimes like this can never be given true justice by a Court.
Carnahan went on to say that hearing a judge pronounce a lengthy sentence is as close as the justice system can come to true justice.
