Two Rescued from Vehicle in Flood Waters

A little after 12:30 p.m. Friday afternoon, the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a Hummer stuck in the water near the intersection of CR 450 W and West 150 N.  The occupants of the vehicle were on the roof.  The Knox County Sheriff’s Department was also notified.  When rescue units arrived they discovered the vehicle was laying against several trees on the south side of CR 150 W and there was no way to reach the vehicle from the Daviess County side.  The Knox County Sheriff’s Department deployed a hover craft.  A second hover craft was called in after the first became stuck.  The two occupants of the vehicle were rescued a little after 3:30 p.m. and taken to Daviess Community Hospital.  No other details have been made available.
