Indiana State Police Superintendent, Doug Carter, has announced that a Bloomfield native will now serve as Deputy Superintendent and Assistant Chief of Staff Investigation and Intelligence.
Major Kevin Hobson has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and will coordinate matters regarding intelligence and investigative the needs of the Department.
He will manage and supervise the Internal Investigation, Equal Employment Opportunities Section, the Indiana Intelligence Fusion Center Section, and Laboratory Division.
Hobson is a 1991 graduate of Bloomfield High School.
He also graduated from Indiana University where he studied Health Administration before being accepted to the 52nd Indiana State Police Recruit Academy in early 1995.
Hobson has served in several roles throughout the years.
Lieutenant Colonel Hobson and his wife Penny currently reside in Greene County.
