A traffic stop in Sullivan County led to two arrests on Wednesday.
A Sullivan County Deputy along with a Police K9 were enroute to an off-duty event when the officer observed a motorist trying to hide his face with his arm while driving.
The deputy suspected potential criminal activity, followed the vehicle, and observed the plates were expired.
The officer says once the vehicle was pulled over, the male driver and a female passenger began switching seats.
Both parties and the vehicle were searched and methamphetamine was found stashed behind the dash in a hidden compartment.
29-year-old Jared Cooksey, and 26-year-old Chelsi Smith, both from Sullivan, were arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.
