Clarence J. Kaiser

Clarence J. Kaiser, 85, passed away at 1:45 pm on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Gentle Care Nursing Home. Clarence was born on November 9, 1936 in Vincennes and was the son of Clarence E. and Magdalena (Bauer) Kaiser.

Clarence was a self-employed farmer for many years and a member of St. John’s Catholic Church where he had been a past member of the parish council finance committee. Clarence also served his country as a member of the National Guard and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Christine (Jenkins) Kaiser of Vincennes whom he married on November 12, 1972; sister, Marie Biggs and her husband Don of Vincennes; brother, George Kaiser of Vincennes; sister-in-law, Cricket Kaiser of Vincennes brother-in-law, John Hoffman of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews. Clarence is preceded by his parents, sisters, Clara Hoffman, Anna Harmon, brother, Charles Kaiser, sister-in-law, Rose Mary Kaiser, and brother-in-law, Bob Harmon.

Friends may visit with Clarence’s family from 9-11 am on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at St. John’s Catholic Church, 803 Main St., Vincennes, IN 47591. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am con-celebrated by Rev. Tony Ernst, Rev. Gary Kaiser, and Rev. Ken Walker. Clarence will be laid to rest in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Online memories may be shared with Clarence’s family and friends at www.goodwinsievers.com.  The Kaiser family has requested memorial contributions be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, St. Vincent DePaul or Good Samaritan Hospice.
