Traffic Violation, Pursuit, Ends in Two-state Drug Bust

On Monday, Washington Police began a pursuit of a vehicle traveling on I-69 at over 130 mph.  The driver, 37 year old Toddrick Ogburn of Henderson, Kentucky, would not stop for officers and the pursuit continued into Pike County, where the Pike County Sheriff’s Department and the Indiana State Police deployed spike strips and were able to stop Ogburn’s vehicle.  After the stop, Ogburn attempted to run from police officers but was apprehended and taken into custody.
During that search, WPD says officers found around more than 2 pounds of pills with markings consistent with Oxydocone, marijuana, and cash. The pills will be sent to a laboratory to be further tested for Fentanyl.
Ogburn was taken to the Daviess County Security Center on charges of Dealing a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Resisting Law Enforcement, and being an Habitual Traffic Violator, but the police department said the investigation didn’t end there.

During the search Officers located more than 5 pounds of marijuana, cash, and about 300 grams of pills with Oxycodone markings that are being tested for fentanyl
