Brian Holland Selected for WHS Principal

Washington, IN: Washington Community Schools is pleased to announce Mr. Brian Holland as the next principal at Washington High School. Mr. Holland begins his new role on July 1, 2022 and succeeds Steve Peterson, who moves to the role of assistant superintendent next year.
Mr. Holland has held the position of principal at Pike Central High School for the last six years and has over 20 years of experience in education, previously serving as assistant principal, athletic director, and high school teacher. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University in 1999 and his master’s degree in Education from Indiana Wesleyan in 2010.
“We are excited to hire Brian Holland to be the next Washington High School principal. Brian brings 21 years of successful experience in public school education as a teacher, coach, athletic director, assistant principal, and principal. Further, he is a 1993 graduate of Washington High School and has an immense amount of pride and passion for this school community. We believe Mr. Holland has the expertise and experience to continue leading the college and career programs and initiatives in place at Washington High School,” Kevin Frank, Assistant Superintendent.
Mr. Holland is looking forward to returning to his alma mater. “I am very excited about this opportunity to return to Washington High School. I look forward to leading WHS and welcome the challenge. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with our students, our staff, and our community members. As a past graduate of WHS, I am eager to wear the Black and Gold again and passionate to get started.”
