Severe Weather Preparedness Week wraps up today in Indiana.
The final topic for this week focuses on preparedness.
The National Weather Service says preparedness and action are the keys to safety during any kind of hazard.
They say you should plan for and respond to extreme weather events or any hazard, follow assistance from authorities, continue your education and awareness of any type of hazard, and avoid forgetting your four-legged friends.
In addition, you should prepare for disaster by having a disaster kit ready for you and your pets equip with water, food, and medical supplies.
